Pizza Pilgrims started out in southern Italy, in the back of a van – literally. After their epic journey of discovery, they learnt the ways of making the perfect Pizza.
The journey they did take a few years ago was to southern Italy, in a Piaggio van with a top speed of 35mph, which sounds ruinously frustrating for affable fraternal relations, but worked out fine for them. After jacking in office jobs for a crack at what the average Big Brother housemate likes to call “living the dream”, these fanatics spent several months studying the mystical art/science of pizza-making under various Neapolitan gurus. On their return, they fitted out their vehicle with a gas-fired oven, and opened for business in a Soho market.
